The Candy is Crushing it!

It's been released that the makers of the game Candy Crush will make their public entrance into the world of the stock market this week. The company, King Digital, is said to be worth up to 7.6 BILLION DOLLARS. Their starting stock prices are $24 a share (which is almost twice as much as the creators of FarmVille, Zynga Inc.)

I don't know whether we're heading down a steep slope or if the world, as a society, is moving up. The makers of a game you can buy on your iPhone could very well be worth 7.6 billion dollars. Let us repeat that so we can grasp that idea. An iPhone game company is worth 7.6 BILLION dollars. Whether that's amazing for the company for being worth that much or whether it only show how much society and the people in it are so attached to their phones (and the games on them), it's definitely something to shake a stick at.
